Ep. 113 — GET OUT (2017) with Kyle Coleman
We're coming up on the time of year where we release our Best of 2018 episode, looking back on our favorite genre films from the past year. But before we do that, we want to look back on one of our favorite films of 2017 that we've yet to do a full episode on: Jordan Peele's GET OUT.
There's a lot to get into with this movie, with its scathing social commentary and Peele's homages to classic horror, plus we'll discuss just howand whyit works so well as a horror film, tracing its origin and discussing how the film came about.
We're joined this week by a special first time guest: Kyle Coleman!
We've also nominated GET OUT for inclusion in the Psychotronic Hall of Fame! Do you think it should make it in?
Speaking of our Best of 2018 episode, you've only got a couple more days to vote to let us know what your favorite genre film of the year was. The People's Choice winner will be discussed in its own full episode in the future and will be considered for induction in the Psychotronic Hall of Fame!
We'd love to hear your thoughts on this episode! Contact us at any of the social media accounts listed below, or be a part of the show by calling us at (864) 371-9931 and leaving us a voicemail of 3 minutes or less and we'll use it on our next episode!
