THE WILD BOYS Gets U.S. Distribution & a Trailer

THE WILD BOYS, the feature length debut from Belgian short film director Bertrand Mandico, has secured distribution right in the U.S. thanks to Altered Innocence (who will handle the theatrical and home video side of things) and MUBI (who will handle the streaming aspect).

Admittedly, before the release of this trailer, I was unaware of the film, which recently played at the Venice Critics Week and received rave reviews. According to Variety is "follows five adolescent boys, all played by female actors, who after committing a crime are punished to board a boat with a captain hell-bent on taming their ferocious appetites."

As you can see in the newly-released trailer for the film, it's incredibly stylized and looks to be right up the alley of fans of psychotronic arthouse flicks.
