Jordan Peele is "Flirting with the Idea" of GET OUT 2

Jordan Peele's GET OUT was one of the biggest success stories of 2017. The social horror film became the talk of the year, raking in the cash at he box office, thrilling audiences, and even wooing the Academy, where the comedian-turned-filmmaker brought home a statue for Best Original Screenplay at this year's awards ceremony.

Naturally, that type of success always breeds talk of a sequel, and while Peele himself had been fairly quiet on the matter, Jason Blum — head of Blumhouse Films and producer of GET OUT, plus other recent horror successes such as THE PURGE and INSIDIOUS series, plus the upcoming and highly anticipated HALLOWEEN sequel — in a recent interview with Variety, states that a sequel to the film might be possible, but only if Peele is on board.

“If Jordan wants to do a sequel, I’ll do it in a second, but it has to come from Jordan Peele,” said Blum. “I think he’s flirting with the idea.”

So there you have it. Blum says that a GET OUT sequel could happen, but only if Peele has a story he wants to tell, which I think is how we'd all want it anyhow.

In the meantime, we've got Peele's next directorial gig US (starring Elizabeth Moss and Lupita Nyong'o) and his HBO series LOVECRAFT COUNTRY to look forward to.

What do you guys think about the possibility of a GET OUT sequel?
